But you shouldn't overdo it, otherwise unsightly lumps can form.
So that the sequins do not stick to the plastic walls but can move freely, the cavity is now almost completely filled with water. Then close the cup again and it can be used. An extremelysimple craft idea, which you can also prepare on a craft table for a child's birthday.

The book page is simply clamped between the two ice cream sticks.
Craft with girls for children's birthdays - earrings made of wood
Is theParty exclusively for girlsearrings are of course a wonderful idea that you can make for a child's birthday. For the following idea you will need:
- thin wooden elements in any shape, made from untreated wood
- Watercolors
- Paint brush
- Palette and water for mixing the colors
- thin Sharpie
- Mod Podge/napkin glue or clear nail polish
- Ear hooks (clippers are also suitable for small children without pierced ears)

An adult should first poke the holes in the wood. Then the children can start designing. The watercolors are dissolved with water and then brushed onto the wood. Make papier-mâché bowls for children's birthday parties with children
- Glass bowl for forming the papier-mâché bowls
- Newspaper
- Water
- Flour
- Aluminum foil
- Acrylic paint
- Scissors
- Paint brush
- Backspray
- Primer and varnish for sealing (check with craft store)
- optional: sandpaper
Tip: Although thatPaper mache craftsis also very fun for children, it is recommended that you prepare the bowls in advance as the papier-mâché should dry overnight. Simply use the finished bowls when you're making crafts for a child's birthday party. The children can then design the bowls as they wish.
For the papier-mâché you will need lots of newspaper strips. Cut the paper into strips about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in size. In a bowl, mix water and flour in a 2:1 ratio (2 parts water to 1 part flour).
Now take the glass bowl, turn it upside down and wrap the outside with aluminum foil. Then spray the foil with baking spray so that you can later remove the papier-mâché shells from the foil more easily (alternatively, brush them thinly with oil). Take a strip of paper, dip it into the paste of water and flour and squeeze it lightly. Place it on the prepared dish. Continue with more strips, placing them in different directions each time. Do about 2-3 layers.
After two hours you can remove the glass bowl. However, the papier-mâché is still not sufficiently dry. It's best to let it dry overnight. You can then remove the film and use sandpaper to create a smoother surface if desired. You can also trim and sand irregular edges. Then apply primer inside and let it dry.
Now the children can do crafts on their children's birthday party and at the same timeDesign bowls. For strong colors, several coats are necessary, but they dry quite quickly. The children can let their imagination run wild and paint whatever they want. Finally, an adult seals the bowls with varnish and you're done!
Make smiley pillows out of felt
These funny onesDIY Kissenare guaranteed to be a great memory of your birthday and, with a little help, you can make them yourself with smaller children. If you want to make them for your child's birthday party, all you need are the following materials:
- yellow and black felt and possibly other colors
- Textile glue (or other quick-drying glue suitable for felt)
- Bowl or other round object of any size
- black felt-tip pen
- Scissors
- fiberfill
Take a bowl that has the same circumference as you want the pillow to have, place it on a piece of yellow felt and trace the circumference with the felt-tip pen. After you cut out the circle, you can use it as a template for the other circles. You need two of them per pillow. Then cut out the eyes and a mouth from the black felt. You can also create different facial features.
Tipp: You can prepare all of these elements in advance, so that the children then only have to make the rest of the pillows at the children's birthday party. Which option is better for the children depends on their age and the time you want to invest. If the children at the children's birthday party are 4 years old, it is best for you or another adult to do the crafts in advance. Then place the finished elements on a craft table.
Glue the face onto one of the two yellow felt circles. Then put glue on the edge of the other circle (leaving a small part out) and place the face on top to glue the edges together. The opening you left is now used to fill the pillow with the filling. This shouldn't be too much so that the hole can be closed afterwards. Then tape the opening closed and set the finished cushions aside for a while to dry.
Children's birthday craft ideas - smileys made from paper plates
Another possibilityMaking smileys, are yellow paper plates. If they are attached to a stick (e.g. ice cream sticks or wooden sticks), they can also be transformed into a fun mask that the children can play with at the party. Use store-bought yellow paper plates or take white ones and have the kids paint them yellow with acrylic paint. The elements for the face can then be cut out of paper while the acrylic paint dries. A felt-tip pen can also be used. Finally, glue a stem (preferably painted) to the back of the plate and the emoji mask is ready.
If you would like to make this idea for a child's birthday, you can make the facial elements in advance and then make them available to the children during the party. This shortens the crafting time and guarantees that the children don't get too bored over time.
