Since the eucalyptus tree grows very quickly, pruning is essential. Compared to other types of eucalyptus, the must gum eucalyptus grows more slowly, although you can expect 40 to 50 cm per year.

The eucalyptus in the pot needs to be cut back once or twice a year. The optimal time for pruning larger trees is after overwintering. All dead shoots are cut off and branches that grow laterally are shortened. You must not cut into the roots.

A shaping correction cut can be carried out at any time. To do this, simply cut back the long shoots whenever necessary. This means the plant grows more and bushier, which will please every hobby gardener.
