  • Cut off the neck and bottom of the bottle with a sharp knife.
  • Determine a suitable height. The bottle should not restrict the plant's growth.
  • Leave one of the two sides straight cut. You will stick these into the ground later.
  • On the other side, cut serrations into the edge. It doesn't have to be perfect. You can then bend the prongs outwards if you want.
  • Put that inside outhomemade snail collarcarefully over the plant without injuring it.
  • Insert the smooth edge well into the ground so that the DIY snail protector stays stable and is not blown away in the slightest wind.
  • Complete! The sharp cut edges and points of the plastic will make it impossible for the molluscs to cross. The slimy skin of snails is quite sensitive.

Tipp:If, when you put it over, it turns out that the opening is too small and cannot get over the plant without injuring it, you can also cut the ring open at one point. It can then be easily placed around the plant. But make sure to close it well and not leave any gaps for snails.
