1. For a coffee cup (125 ml) you need: 125 ml water and 28 - 30 g ground coffee. The more coffee you add, the more intense the taste will be!

2. The coffee concentrate will absorb some of the water. But that shouldn't bother you because you'll be diluting the brewed coffee with water, ice cubes or milk anyway.

3. For the cold brew coffee recipe you not only need coffee powder and water, but also the right accessories. You can brew the coffee in a mason or wire jar. To prepare 5 cups you need: a wire jar (capacity 1000 ml) with a sealing ring, cling film and a paper coffee filter. If you don't have a coffee filter, you can simply line a sieve with tear-resistant tissues.

4. Most coffee lovers let the coffee steep in the refrigerator overnight. The times given by the professionals vary between 12 and 24 hours. The longer you let the coffee steep, the stronger it becomes and the more bitter substances dissolve in the water. Cover the wire jar with cling film and let it sit at room temperature for 14 hours or in the fridge for 14-20 hours. After the resting time, line a fine sieve with the coffee filters or tissues and pour the coffee concentrate through it. Pour the summer drink into five coffee cups. Add milk or cold water to each cup. You can store the coffee in the refrigerator for 10 days.

Cold Brew Cocktail: Recipe for refreshing coffee lemonade with tonic

(the ingredients given are for 3 glasses of 200 ml each)

  • 30 ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 pinch of lemon zest
  • 30 ml Tonicwater
  • 150ml water
  • 250 ml Cold Brew Coffee
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Preparation: Bring 150 ml of water with sugar, lemon juice and zest to the boil and simmer for about 12 minutes. Put 2-3 ice cubes in a mason jar (150 ml capacity), add 2 tablespoons of the syrup and 85 ml of cold brew coffee. Then fill the preserving jar with tonic water.

Latte with coconut milk and macadamia nuts

  • 135 ml coconut milk
  • 60 ml syrup made from water, sugar and lemon juice (see recipe above)
  • 30 g vanilla sugar
  • 180 ml Cold Brew Coffee
  • 180 ml cold water
  • 9 ice cubes
  • 1 handful of macadamia nuts, finely ground

  • 90 ml Cold Brew Coffee
  • 45 ml mezcal (Mexican alcoholic drink)
  • 45 ml rhubarb liqueur “Zucca”
  • 1 TL Bitter liqueur “Angostura Bitter”
  • 1 teaspoon peach liqueur
  • 3 lemon spirals, for decoration
  • Chili salt, for decoration
  • Preparation: Put the ingredients in a bowl and stir briefly with a bar spoon. Fill the glasses halfway with ice cubes and then add the cocktail. Decorate with lemon peel.
