Ingredients for 6-8 servings:

  • 1kg potatoes
  • 250 grams of wheat flour
  • 3 Owner
  • 250 ml milk
  • 20 grams of fresh yeast or 1/2 pack of dry yeast
  • 1 leek, cut into small rings
  • 150 grams of dried meat, diced small
  • Oil for oiling the waffle iron
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  • For the yeast dough, heat the milk to lukewarm.
  • Sift wheat flour into a large bowl and make a well in the middle.
  • Add yeast and dissolve with a little milk.
  • Add the remaining milk and mix everything into a smooth dough.
  • Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes.
  • In the meantime, peel and finely grate the potatoes.
  • Drain in a colander. Discard the water and mix the settled potato flour with the potatoes, eggs, jerky and leeks.
  • Add the potato mixture to the yeast dough and stir until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the waffle iron to medium heat and grease it with a little oil.
