Bake salmon fillets uncovered at 220°C on the middle rack of your oven.
How long does salmon take in the oven?
Bake for 4 – 6 minutes per 1 cm thickness of the fillet. Baking time depends on the thickness of your salmon fillets.
The salmon fillets pictured here took 11 minutes. Please note that baking salmon for too long can become dry and unpleasant.
How do you know the salmon is done?
Check the thickest part of your salmon fillets with a fork. Once the meat flakes easily and falls apart gently, it's ready!
You can also use a cooking thermometer to check doneness. The USDA recommends an internal temperature of at least 140°F (61°C). Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the fillet.
