Dandelion has long been known for its healing effect. But did you know that the dandelion tea is also a real slimmaker? The refreshing spring drink leaves the kilos and supports every diet. In today's post I explain how you can do my favorite variation - with mint and berries yourself. Dandelion tea for losing weight - here is the recipe!

Because of weeds - dandelion in my garden is a welcome guest. Because I know that the wild herb offers food for bees and butterflies. And should it spread too quickly in the flower bed or between the paving stones of my garden path, then I pluck it and prepare a refreshing spring drink. Because dandelion tea can do much more: it is a healthy alternative to juices and shakes and can support any diet. As with all other dandelion recipes, I only use fresh, yellow flowers. However, you can also put the flowers on newspaper and let it dry. Then store the dried flowers airtight and dark.

Make tea with mint and berries yourself: the ingredients

  • A handful of fresh or dried dandelion flowers
  • 1 TL raspberry leaves
  • 10 fresh raspberries
  • 3 - 4 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 TLDandelion honey to sweeten

Losing dandelion tea: the recipe

1. The procedure is very simple: I cook about 1 liter of water, then I take the pot from the stove and put the rinsed dandelion leaves and raspberry sheets into the water.

2. I let the tea pull for about 3-4 minutes and then drop it off. Then I let it cool about an hour and at the end add the fresh raspberries and the mint leaves. I then put the tea cold and sweeten it shortly before serving.

3. I like to drink the dandelion tea at morning coffee (as a replacement for the caffeine drink). A cup can stimulate the metabolism and is also good for the bladder and the kidneys. So I always drink the tea when I plan a detox week and even if I hold a diet.
