All ingredients in one cake as an alternative
If you make a cinnamon roll cake, you save yourself the hassle of spreading, rolling and cutting the dough that is necessary for the roll shapes. Instead, you mix a dough, which you then put into a baking pan with a cinnamon filling and finally into the oven.
For the dough:
- 360 g Flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 200g sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 360 ml milk
- 2 Owner
- 2 TL Vanilleextrakt
- 115g melted butter
For the filling:
- 230 g soft butter
- 220g brown sugar
- 2 EL MEHL
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
Cinnamon roll glaze without cream cheese:
- 250g powdered sugar
- 5 tbsp milk
- 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
- For the dough, mix all the ingredients except the butter in a bowl.
- Once everything is well incorporated, slowly pour in the melted butter while stirring.
- Grease a baking tray (22 x 33 cm) and spread the dough into it.
- Prepare the cinnamon filling by simply mixing all the ingredients.
- Distribute this filling over the dough (you can also put two thirds of the dough in the tray, spread the filling on top and the remaining dough on top).
- Bake the cake for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Take the cake out of the oven.
- Prepare the icing and spread it over the cinnamon roll cake while it is still warm.
American style cinnamon toast with frosting
Would you like a quick breakfast or a sweet snack? How about a cinnamon toast that you can combine with any ingredients like raisins or nuts?
For 2 toasts:
- 1 – 2 THE Butter
- 50g sugar
- 1 ½ – 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 – 2 tbsp nuts, raisins or fruit
For the glaze
- 60g powdered sugar
- 1 – 2 tbsp milk
Preheat the oven to broil (or use a toaster with a broiler).
- First spread the butter on the two slices of toast.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the slices.
- Distribute any snacks like nuts or raisins.
- Toast the toast in the oven or grill.
- Mix milk and powdered sugar for the glaze and drizzle over the toast.
Swedish cinnamon rolls – something different than a wreath
This wreath tastes like the classic cinnamon rolls, but looks particularly attractive due to its wreath shape. For the dough:
- 240 ml milk
- 2 packets of instant yeast
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 100g sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 115g softened butter
- 1 large egg
- 2 yolks of large eggs
- 480 g Flour
For the filling:
- 110g brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 8 tbsp softened butter
Frosting with cream cheese:
- 115g cream cheese
- 60 g soft butter
- 400g sugar
- ½ TL Vanilleextrakt
- 1 pinch of salt
Prepare the dough
- Warm the milk to 40 degrees (no hotter, otherwise the yeast bacteria will die).
- Add the brown sugar and yeast, mix, pour the mixture into a bowl (where you will make the rest of the dough) and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar, butter, egg and egg yolks and then half of the flour.
- Now continue working with the dough hook of the hand mixer: Add the remaining flour and knead the dough for 6 minutes.
- Form it into a ball, lightly oil a bowl and let the dough ball rise, covered, for about 2 hours.
- Then sprinkle some flour on your work surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle (45 x 30 cm).
This is how the cinnamon filling is made and spread over the dough
- Mix cinnamon and sugar.
- Brush the dough with the butter and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over it.
- Roll the dough lengthwise.
- Cut the dough along one of the outer sides (about ¾ of the width) so that the individual snails remain connected to each other on the other side.
- Line a baking pan with baking paper and place the cut roll on top. Form a ring with the ends pressed together, with the cuts on the outside.
- Cover the dough ring with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for 45 to 60 minutes.
Cinnamon rolls with a difference – Bake the Swedish wreath
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and remove the butter and cream cheese from the refrigerator to allow them to soften.
- Bake the dough ring for 30 to 35 minutes (be careful not to let the top brown too quickly while the inside remains raw).
- Prepare the frosting by first creaming the butter and cream cheese and then incorporating half of the powdered sugar.
- Add the remaining powdered sugar, salt and vanilla.
- Top the completely cooled cinnamon roll wreath with it.
A quick recipe for when you're hungry in between meals, this version of cinnamon rolls is a little differentfrom the cup. Simply baked in the microwave, you can enjoy the delicious dessert at any time.
For the dough:
- 1 large egg
- 1 TL Vanilleextrakt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 180g pancake mix
- Flour for dusting
- Baking spray or fat
- 2 tsp water
For the filling:
- 1 THE BUTTER
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Beat egg, vanilla, sugar and milk and stir in pancake mixture. Knead a dough and roll it out (20 x 15 cm). Prepare the filling by mixing the ingredients and spreading them over the dough. Roll it up lengthwise and cut the roll in half. Grease the cups.
