Karl Lagerfeld died on February 19, 2019 at the age of 85. With a lot of imagination, the legendary fashion designer created his own universe, in which every detail was of decisive importance. Spring summer 2019 Haute Couture

For the last couture show from Lagerfeld, he built the country house “Villa Chanel” and took the audience to Italy, on a sun-drenched summer day. Back in the Grand Palais in Paris, the models ran along a park inspired by a park, surrounded by lush palm trees and Tuscany Thujen.

Frühling-Sommer 2019 Ready-To-Wear

For the fashion week in Paris, Karl Lagerfeld had a dream beach built to the Grand Palais Parisian to present his spring Summer collection 2019. Sand, sea waves, lifeguards, everything was there. The models ran barefoot on the beach and held their shoes in their hands.

Autumn winter 2017/18 Haute Couture

The most iconic symbol of Paris served as an inspiration for Lagerfeld, which in 2017 created a scale replica of the Eiffel Tower for his autumn/winter-haust couture show. The displayed silhouette of the structure reflected the collection of shapely -beautiful clothes and coats.

Frühling-Sommer 2017 Ready-To-Wear

For this collection, Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the interior of the computer and put the guests of the Fashion Show into a futuristically staged world. A data center with loose wires formed the backdrop for the models, which were covered as white robots and wore pockets illuminated with LEDs.

Herbst-Winter 2018/19 Ready-To-Wear

To present its autumn/winter collection in 2018, staged camp field within the Grand Palais. He attracted the anger of the environmentalists because several oaks and poplars were cut down to create the set. The catwalk was covered with autumn leaves, moss and tree trunks.

Autumn winter 2010/11

For Chanel's autumn/winter 2010, Karl Lagerfeld imported a 265 -ton iceberg from northern Sweden. Within six days, 35 sculptors transformed the massive block of ice into an 8 meter long polar landscape. In order to prevent the backdrop from melting, the temperatures in the Grand Palais were also kept below zero degrees.

Autumn winter 2017/18

In the middle of the Grand Palais, Lagerfeld literally started a spaceship during its autumn winter show in 2017. The 37-meter-high rocket was lit to the final and lifted a few meters as if it were flying through the glass domes of the Grand Palais. During the 10 second countdown, Elton John's “Rocket Man” was played.

Autumn winter 2014/15

Presented for his autumn show 2014Supermarket-chicAs an epic celebration of consumism. The models with shopping baskets stepped through a well -stocked grocery store with over 100,000 branded products. After the show, the visitors stormed the Faux market to loot the shop and take home with them.

Show crafts 2018/19

On the backdrop of an Egyptian temple, Chanel's Métiers d'Art Show 2018/19 represented a mix of old civilization and the city of New York. Karl Lagerfeld let the models around the Temple of Dendur (approx. 10 BC) of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Spring summer 2012 Ready-to-Wear

In 2012, the Grand Palais was transformed into a puristic underwater world. Huge white corals, mussels, seahorses, algae and sting rays were distributed over the scene. Even the singer Florence Welch, who appeared during the show, stood in a shell like Botiticellis Venus.

Frühling-Sommer 2018 Ready-To-Wear

Lagerfeld created a gigantic waterfall in the Grand Palais, which served as a backdrop for his 2018 spring collection. The 9 meter high water feature consisted of caves, from which the models came out with rain hats and rain coats.
