Color white for inside and outside

An architect's house in Redondo Beach, California, USA returns to the avant-garde and contemporary vision for the home of the modern city dweller. Only the front and garage doors on the street side of the house are reminiscent of the rectangular dimensions of the 'standard' buildings. The main building shines in white and the other in reserved gray. The unconventional shape of the windows and openings makes a great impression - an elongated honeycomb.

Architecture avant-garde in California, USA

The radical and strictly geometric form language can be understood in the architecture and in the spatial concept. Openings in the floor and ceiling, between the floors in the interior, create a new idea for inside and outside. The outside windows have an elongated honeycomb shape, which can also be found inside.

The color white predominates in the facade design and in the interior, which ensures a modern appearance in a minimalist style. The furnishings follow the straight lines of the facade and are characterized by geometric proportions. In the interiors, contrast is created by individual monochrome accents, pieces of furniture that give a personal touch to the room design.

The house extends over three living levels and has a total of around 353 square meters of living space. Seven rooms, including garage, cellar, kitchen, living room, master bedroom and a mezzanine with an exclusive terrace with sea views, are available to residents. The private house was designed by Patrick Tighe Architects and designed for the Garisson family.
