We don't want to deny that the manufacturers of popular sweets don't make an effort at Christmas time and don't package their goods appropriately for the occasion. In theory, they are worthy as a gift. Nevertheless, you often want to lend a hand and do something individual for your loved ones. With our instructions you can do just that! Use any chocolates to make unique (and above all delicious) gifts from sweets yourself.
Homemade Rocher Christmas tree as a Christmas present
There is hardly anyone who can resist Ferrero Rocher. If you know someone like that, then this cute Christmas tree is perfect if you want to make your own candy gifts. The idea can also be implemented with Raffaello or other round treats. All you need is the cone-shaped base. This is how it's done:
- Cone made of papier-mâché (styrofoam is less suitable as you will be working with hot glue), approx. 10 cm high
- 16 Rocher balls or others
- red ribbon
- Hot glue

Place the base in front of you and put a dab of glue on the bottom of a chocolate candy (don't remove the paper of course). Then press the ball onto the cone - start at the bottom and at the height of the work surface, the ball should not protrude. Then stick the next ball right next to it, preferably this timeRaffaello, for example. Once you have finished the first row, continue with the second row, whereby the chocolate balls should be stuck there offset from the first row. Place the last piece of candy directly on the top.
Tie a bow out of the red ribbon and glue it to the top. That's doneFerrero Rocher gift!
A notice:If you want to work with a Styrofoam or foam cone, you can also use toothpicks instead of hot glue. Insert one into the ball from below and then into the cone.

Ü-Egg gift idea for children and adults
Probably the easiest way to package sweets beautifully and combine them in large quantities is to use a ready-made box. Not only sturdy cardboard boxes are suitable, but also metal biscuit tins of any size and shape. Collect the candy you want and get started. In our case these are various products from “Kinder” – surprise eggs, Kinder bars, chocolate candies, Mini-Bueno and also Duplo.
No matter what type of box you have chosen, if you make gifts from sweets yourself, it is advisable to use them to cover the outside too. Long chocolates such as Duplo or children's bars, for example, are ideal. Place wide, double-sided tape around the outside of the box. Then remove the top protective film and start sticking the bars close together in an upright position. Then tie a pretty ribbon with a bow around it and fill the box. You can form two tiers by covering the first layer with a piece of cardboard and spreading the next one on top.
You can now leave it open, or design the lid in the same way as the box and then close the contents.
Tipp: You can also work with Merci chocolates and Ferrero Rocher in the same way.
Candy holder as a gift for Christmas
You can make cute candy holders like this and it's much easier than you might think. If you make such gifts out of sweets yourself, even the children can help. The little gift ideas areideal as a guest giftor as a pendant for the actual Christmas present if you add a loop. This is how it's done:
Print any design on white paper. Feel free to search for others on the Internet, because everything works. Cut out the motif and use it as a stencil on colored paper. Place it on top and trace the outline. Since you end up needing a double motif that you can fold over as in the example, draw the same motif again in a mirror image right next to the first one (see example with reindeer). Then cut out the double motif completely without separating the two parts.
Now add another hole. This should be the same size as the candy you want to put in it. Don't worry if the hole gets a little too big. You can also fix it on the inside with adhesive tape. Fold carefully at the point where both partial motifs meet. Now attach the Lindor in the hole, fold over the other side of the paper and glue both parts together at the top edge.
