- Yarn for measuring
- wide ribbon for decorating
- optionally additional decorations (pine branches, Christmas tree decorations, Christmas stickers, etc.)
Spread some of the wrapping paper on a table (don't cut it yet) and place half of the gift on top. Make sure that at this end there is still enough of the giftWrapping paper for packagingoverhangs so you can fold it. Once you have determined the length required to completely wrap the gift, cut the paper. Then wrap it around the box and tape the paper ends together with double-sided tape.
Then fold the tabs that protrude from the gift at the open end, as withsmaller gifts, inwards. Here too, fix everything with double-sided adhesive tape. Now repeat these steps one more time with the other half of the gift. Then take any yarn you like and wrap it once around the box. How to determine the length of the package. Then use the yarn with the respective length plus one or two centimeters to cut off a sufficiently long piece of wrapping paper.
Wrap the third piece of paper around the center of the gift. You automatically cover the transition from the first to the second piece of paper. Fix the ends again with the adhesive tape. Use the piece of yarn from before to cut a piece of ribbon the same length. You then use this to cover one of the two transitions from paper to paper. Stick it in place with double-sided tape.
Repeat the whole thing with the other side, only this time you take a longer piece of ribbon so that you can tie it into a bow. You can then design this loop additionally with any pendants or evergreen branches. You can also use stickers for the paper or youdesign it using different techniques.

Instructions for the bag
Do you want big ones?Pack gifts in a funny wayand save yourself all the folding and gluing, just get any fabric you like. Spread it out on the floor and place the gift on it. Now you can lift the fabric on all sides to see how much fabric you will need. Then cut it and fold it double (fold once lengthways in the middle) inside out (the unsightly sides facing out).
In this way you already have a closed bottom and only have to sew the two long sides together. To do this, pin the two layers of fabric together with pins so that nothing slips while sewing. Sew the sides together with a gap of 5 to 10 mm from the edge. Then all you have to do is sew a hem for the opening at the top and you're done and ready to wrap large gifts. No matter whether angular, irregular orround gift, just put it inside and tie the bag closed with a ribbon or rope.
A nice variant is to take a simple, single-colored fabric (e.g. linen fabric) and then label, paint or print it as desired. If you have thePrint fabric yourself, you can design it specifically for the occasion or send an individual message. Not only does the gift remain a great memory, but so does the original packaging.
