Halloween Pizza – The Dough

If you want to prepare the Halloween pizza particularly quickly, you can use frozen pizza dough and save yourself the time it takes to prepare the dough. Nowadays, frozen ready-made dough can also be very tasty, so if you've already found a good brand, feel free to use it.

However, would you like a delicious one?Make your own pizza dough, you have the choice between dough with and without yeast. We have quick recipe ideas for both variants that you can use if you haven't found a pizza dough recipe yet. We start with a doughwith yeast:

For approx. 4 servings:

  • 450 g Flour
  • 1/2 cube of yeast (approx. 21 g)
  • 250 ml water
  • 15g salt
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 15 ml olive oil

Sift the flour into a bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and then add to the flour. Knead a smooth dough, but don't overdo the kneading time. Divide the dough into 4 smaller balls, lightly oil them, then place them covered in a warm place where the dough can rest for 2 to 3 hours. You can then roll out the pizza base and top it with whatever you like.

  • 400 g Flour
  • 260ml water
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 EL Kill
  • 1 tsp salt

Milk can also be used instead of water. First put flour and baking powder in a bowl and mix them together well. Then add the remaining ingredients and knead a smooth dough. Since baking powder doesn't have to steep, you can process the dough immediately and save yourself the waiting time. Roll out the dough and top it with your favorite ingredients.

Roll out and cover

No matter which oneRecipe for Halloween partyYou choose, the particularly fun part comes now. You can now roll out the dough and top it as you wish. Choose the shape of the classic pizza or prepare mini pizzas. You can also shape the dough like pumpkins or skulls. You can let your imagination run wild and your children will definitely be happy to help with the preparation.

Preparing mummy

Would you like a mummylike in the picture above? Cut out two oval-shaped pieces of dough of approximately the same size. Top one of the two and cover it with the other. Roll the edges slightly to prevent the topping from spilling out. You get a kind of pizza calzone, so to speak. Now you need a few strips of dough to imitate the bandage.

Place them over the oval shape, trimming off the excess, leaving an area for the eyes. For the eyes, simply use two rings of olives (different sizes work even better). Brush the dough with egg yolk and you can bake the mummy pizza.

More design ideas

Otherwise, you can easily play with the topping and create motifs that are perfect for Halloween. For Halloween pizza, for example, you can look for suitable cookie cutters (e.g. ghosts) and use them to cut shapes out of cheese and then distribute them over the dough. You can make spiders with olives.

You can also paint a spider web with cheese or with mayonnaise or another white sauce. If you use gravy, it's best to do so after baking. APennywise is a true work of artPizza that only used different toppings to create it. Want more ideas to get inspired by? Check out our pictures!

  • 3 tbsp peanut butter

Ideas with jam and marshmallows

Roll out the cookie dough as desired and bake according to the instructions on the package. In the meantime, chop up larger sweets and prepare the chocolate cream. To do this, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave (be careful not to burn anything) or in a water bath. Spread the chocolate-peanut cream over the finished dough and the sweets on top. Place the Halloween pizza in the refrigerator until the chocolate is solid.
