Craft instructions for the car tire decoration

To build this pretty car tire decoration for Christmas, first place the tire on the plywood sheet and trace the inner circle with a pencil. Measure the distance from this inner circle to the point where the tire is widest, or before it becomes slightly narrower towards the outside. Mark this distance in several places on the plywood panel and trace the circle freehand. Alternatively, you can use the following trick: tie a piece of string to a pen. Tie the other end to a pencil, whereby the distance between the first pencil and the tip of the pencil must correspond to the measured distance. Hold the first pencil firmly at the center of your circle, pull the string taut and draw a regular circle. Make sure that the center pin does not slip.

Assemble and color tires

Fix the plate to a table with a clamp. The plate should protrude several centimeters in order to be able to cut comfortably without damaging the table. Now use the jigsaw to cut out the circle on the outside line. Apply glue or silicone to the tire and glue the plywood circle to the tire. Now you have to let the glue dry sufficiently. Alternatively, you can also fix the plate with a nail gun.

Then you can spray the tire on all sides in the desired color. It is best to do this outdoors and on a surface. As you can see in the instructions above, you could also color the tire first, then fix the plate and then color that too. However, we recommend the first variant - assemble it first and then spray everything with paint in one go.

Make and attach the metal piece

Now you need the typical metal piece that has Christmas tree decorations for hanging. You can do thisfrom a tin canas in these instructions or make it from a metal bucket. Cut the can and drill two small holes through the metal in two opposite places on the bottom side. You then thread the wire to create a handle, which you knot on the inside. Drill two holes through the tire, insert the wire ends through and knot them inside the tire. Complete! If you want, you can now add decorations, for example a snowflake (made of felt, paper or other material) like in this example. Or you can get stencils and use them to spray Christmas motifs on the tire. Then you can use the tires as decoration to decorate your garden, terrace or entrance area.

Make winter car tire decorations yourself – snowmen

How about something like this?friendly snowmenin your garden that will really bring joy to everyone? You have two options for making snowmen decorations with tires. You can see the first variant in the picture above. To do this, first make the head as in the instructions above for the Christmas tree balls, only this time you color the hoop white. The other tires are of course white, but do not require a sheet of plywood as they are simply stacked on top of each other. You decide how many tires you use because it depends on how big you want your snowman to be. Let the white paint dry thoroughly, assemble the car tire decoration and then draw the buttons and face with acrylic paint. You can then decorate the finished snowmen with a bow or a hat.

To make a snowman, you don't necessarily have to saw and drill, as just described. Instead of this type of head, you can simply add a face to the last stacked tire. This type of snowman is no less cute, so it's up to you how much time and effort you put into itChristmas decorations for outsidewant to invest.

You can keep taking items out and rearranging them until you're happy with the arrangement. Finally, you can shorten and shape very long and protruding branches a little.
